On Monday, September 23, the Hayesville Yellow Jackets edged out the Murphy Bulldogs with a 2-1 win in a close Smoky Mountain Conference soccer contest. Playing on home turf in Hayesville, the Yellow Jackets improved their season record to 2-3.

Hayesville’s defense held strong, preventing a Murphy comeback. On offense, Colin Walker and fellow sophomore Coldan Rhea netted the goals for Hayesville.

Next, the Yellow Jackets face the Andrews Wildcats on September 25.
