In a hard-fought game on September 6, 2024, the Hayesville Yellow Jackets fell to the Andrews Wildcats in a close 7-2 contest. Hayesville, coming off a loss in their previous game, struggled to find their offensive rhythm despite a solid effort. Quarterback Tate Roberts threw for 51 yards, connecting with Michael Mauney for 39 of those yards, while Tre Graves led the rushing attack with 27 yards on the ground.

This defeat drops Hayesville to 0-2 for the season and extends their road losing streak to four games dating back to last year. Their defense held strong for much of the game, but the Yellow Jackets couldn’t capitalize offensively against a tough Andrews defense. A total of four lost fumbles kept Hayesville from building momentum on the offensive side of the ball.
Hayesville will look to bounce back next week as they prepare for a tough matchup against Pisgah on the road, hoping to get their first win of the season
