Racing enthusiasts in western North Carolina are gearing up for an electrifying start to the 2025 season at Tri-County Racetrack in Brasstown. The track will host its annual season opener, dubbed the "Brasstown Brawl," on Saturday, March 22nd, promising a high-octane evening of competition across multiple racing classes with a top prize of $3,500 to win.
The event marks the return of racing action to the beloved dirt track, a staple in the local motorsports community. Gates will open early, with pits accessible at 3:00 PM and grandstands welcoming fans at 4:00 PM. A drivers’ meeting is scheduled for 6:00 PM, followed by hot laps at 6:30 PM, setting the stage for a thrilling night under the lights.
The Brasstown Brawl will feature a diverse lineup of racing classes, catering to a wide range of competitors and fans. The headline event offers a $3,500 purse for the winner in the 602 Late Model class, with an additional $100 bonus for the Fast Time leader from Snow Construction. The 604 Late Model class will compete for a $250 prize, while the Open Wheel FWD and Street Stock Crown Vic classes will also take to the track, ensuring a packed schedule of racing action.
One of the event’s highlights is the "Leader on Lap 25 Extra" bonus, which awards an additional $100 to the driver leading on lap 25 of the main event, courtesy of Snow Construction.
