The result is a gut-wrenching retrospective that captures the emotional turmoil of a nation divided. Originally nominated for multiple Tony Awards, including Best Musical, the production features a stirring score blending Gospel, Country, Rock, and Folk, composed by Frank Wildhorn with lyrics by Wildhorn, Gregory Boyd, and Jack Murphy.
