On the evening of 09/15/24 the Clay County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to 2878 US
Highway 64 east in Hayesville where Alex Rosen; founder of “Predator Poachers” out of
Houston, Texas; was on scene with a suspected sexual predator. Rosen’s organization had
been conducting an on-line undercover operation posing as an 11-year-old girl and had been in communication with Rondal Arrowood, 62 years of age, residing at this address. Clay County Sgt Steven Smith, Investigator Nick Queen, and Officer Drew Judged soon arrived at the residence and met with Rosen and Rosen’s associates.
Rosen told the Officers about the undercover operation his organization had been conducting
regarding Arrowood. Rosen produced detailed documentation in support of his investigation.
Rosen said his associates and himself arrived at Arrowood’s residence which consisted of a
camper trailer and a motorhome. Rosen and his associates met Arrowood at his camper trailer, confronted him about his illegal activities, and confirmed him to have been the person they had been in communication with. This interaction was filmed by Rosen’s associates. Rosen stated
that at some point, Arrowood said he needed to take his medications and retreated inside the
camper trailer. At this point a call was made for a response by the Clay County Sheriff’s Office.
After the forenamed officers arrived at the scene, attempts were made to get Arrowood to
come to the door of the camper trailer with negative results. Rosen and his associates believed Arrowood was still inside of the camper trailer because they had remained there the entire time.
By this time Sheriff Mark Buchanan arrived at the scene. Officer Judge was directed to take
Rosen before a magistrate and apply for a felony warrant for Arrowood’s arrest for Solicitation of a Child by Computer. Investigator Queen joined by Chief Joe Wood also appeared before the Magistrate, applied for, and received a search warrant for Arrowood’s camper trailer,
motorhome, and premises.
After the arrest warrant for Arrowood and the search warrant for his residence were both
secured, all officers joined by Clay County Lt. Moore and Lt. Faggard searched the camper
trailer, motorhome and grounds. Arrowood was not present and was believed to have eluded
Rosen and his associates while they were waiting for law enforcement to arrive at the scene.
Other items of evidence relating to this investigation were collected while at the residence and are being analyzed.
Throughout 09/16/24, attempts were made to locate Arrowood including surveillance of his
residence. In the early afternoon hours of 09/17/24, during continued surveillance activities,
Investigator Queen saw Arrowood come out of his camper trailer and walk into a house next
door. Investigator Queen, Lt Moore, and Cpl Ethan Henderson surrounded the house and
subsequently arrested Arrowood without incident. He was transported to the Clay County
Detention Center based on the aforementioned felony charge as well as the charge of Resisting a Public Officer. Arrowood was placed under a $50,000 secured bond. Additional charges are anticipated.
All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
