Press Release
On April 8, 2025, Towns County Sheriff Ken Henderson met with residents of Clarence Nichols Rd and West Union Rd to help them begin a Neighborhood Watch in that area.
Sheriff Henderson states:
Neighborhood Watch encourages citizens to communicate with each other about what is happening in their neighborhood and to watch for suspicious activities.
It teaches citizens what to watch for so they can better communicate what is happening when calling 911.
The greatest benefit of Neighborhood Watch is residents being the “eyes and ears” of their neighborhoods and to report hazards and possible crimes in a timely manner, which can assist law enforcement in the capture and prosecution of criminals.
The meeting was a success, and the Town County Sheriff’s Office is eager to work with citizens who want to start a Community Watch program.
If you have questions about starting a program in your area, please contact
