The Young Harris women's soccer team traveled over Blood Mountain to take on the UNG Nighthawks on Wednesday (Sept. 11) afternoon. The University of North Georgia put seven goals on the board in the match, with four in the first half and three in the second.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
UNG rattled off 22 (15 SOG) shots, compared to the Mountain Lions four (2 SOG).
The Night Hawks had five corner kicks, with YHC having one.
UNG starters Alex Clark, Chloe Diaz, Bailey Oetinger, and Nina Lopez had one goal each.
Substitutes Sam Cottle, Kamora Hall, and Charlie Morgan scored for the Nighthawks.
Chloe Schmidhuber and Anita Roese recorded the only two shots on goal for the Mountain Lions.
Mountain Lions starting keeper Mckenna Peaster recorded six saves and surrendered six goals; Kaylie Hayes came into the match late and saved two shots, giving up one goal, in 19 minutes between the pipes.
