The Young Harris College women's soccer team has been slotted in the ninth spot to start their 2024 campaign. Last season, the Mountain Lions had their best season since 2017 and finished the season at 9-6-4 overall with an 8-4 record in Conference Carolinas play. Year number two for Avram Allen as the Mountain Lions women's soccer head coach showed immense improvement for the program, as Young Harris finished in second place in the Southwest division and made the Conference Carolinas Tournament.

The Mountain Lions return senior Midfielder Shania Harris, who came to the Enchanted Valley before the start of the 2023 season and started all 18 games, while netting seven goals. Senior Defenders Morgan Kasel and Justice Colburn also return. Kasel has been a part of the YHC women's soccer culture since 2020 and has proven to be a Stalwart on defense over the years, starting in all 18 games last season. Colburn transferred from Green Bay last season and was an immediate plug and play defender; starting 16 games, while adding two goals, and two assists on the year in transition.

Young Harris also returns sophomore Midfielder Charlotte Brown and senior Midfielder Chloe Schmidhuber. In her freshman season, Brown shined, as she netted five goals, added nine assists, for 19 points on the year, and was named to the Conference Carolinas All-Conference First Team. Schmidhuber transferred from Green Bay as well and started in 17 games for the Mountain Lions in her junior year; taking 25 shots, with 21 on goal, while putting five in the back of the net for YHC.

The Mountain Lions kick off their season on Thursday, September 5th in Young Harris, Georgia against the Lions of Mars Hill University at 5 p.m.
