Main Street Young Harris to Host Enchanted Spring Fling with Food Pantry Drive

The annual Enchanted Spring Fling is set to take place on Saturday, April 26, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in downtown Main Street Young Harris. This vibrant community event, featuring plants, art, music, and food trucks, will also serve as a collection point for donations to support the Towns County Food Pantry.

During the event, Main Street Young Harris will partner with Union General Clinic to collect goods and financial contributions at the table of sponsor Jo Ellen Thornton, located at Century 21, Black Bear Realty. The initiative aims to gather essential items to stock the shelves of the Towns County Food Pantry, which serves the local community in need.

The food pantry has provided a detailed list of top items needed, including toilet paper, coffee, hand soap, dish soap, laundry detergent, shampoo, juice, canned pasta (such as ravioli and spaghetti), canned meat/meal, cooking oil (of any kind), flour, toothpaste, pet food (for both dogs and cats), miscellaneous items like mayonnaise, mustard, and salad dressings, supplemental nutrition products such as Boost, Ensure, and Glucerna, as well as fresh fruits and vegetables. All food donations must be unopened and in their original packaging.
