JV Yellow Jackets Look Strong In Scrimmage

On Thursday, Aug.15, the JV Yellow Jacket football team hosted Smoky Mountain Conference for Andrews for a controlled scrimmage.

Each team was given 10 plays of offense before possession changed. Score was not kept, but the Jackets had several scoring plays. Hayesville's offense was run-heavy and showed the ability to create explosive plays.

On the defensive side of the ball, the Jackets were able limit yardage gained by the Wildcats. There were several plays that induced cheers of approval from the members of Jacket Nation who were in a attendance.

The controlled environment allowed Hayesville's coaching staff to try different combinations and rotations as they prepare for the 2024 season.

Hayesville will start the official season with hopes of a conference championship at home on Thursday, Aug.22 at 6 p.m. against Madison.
