JV Picks Up Win, Varsity Not So Fortunate

The Hayesville High School volleyball teams traveled to Cherokee on Thursday, August 29th, for a Smoky Mountain Conference showdown against the Lady Braves. The JV squad delivered an impressive performance, securing a 2-set sweep with scores of 25-10 and 25-15. Their dominant play was evident from the start, with strong serving and solid teamwork carrying them through to victory.


On the varsity side, the Lady Yellow Jackets faced a tougher challenge, falling to the Lady Braves in three sets, 25-13, 25-14, 25-17. Despite the loss, the team showed moments of resilience and will look to regroup as they prepare for their next match.


Both teams will return to home-court action on Tuesday, September 3rd, for another conference matchup against Robbinsville. The JV team is set to play at 5 p.m., followed by the varsity at 6 p.m.
