At the Dec. 16th monthly meeting of the Clay County School Board of Education, newly elected member Josh Ashe officially took the Oath of Office. This marks Mr. Ashe's first term serving on the board, where he will help oversee the policies and decisions impacting Clay County Schools.

The oath was administered by Clerk of Court Tim Barrett, who led the brief but significant proceeding. Adding a personal touch to the occasion, former Clay County School Board member Ed Ashe, Josh Ashe's father, held the Bible as his son took the oath.

Josh Ashe’s election signals a new chapter for the board, as he brings fresh perspectives and a commitment to serving the students, families, and educators of Clay County.

The meeting continued with the board addressing its regular agenda items, now with Ashe officially taking his seat among his fellow members.
