In a commanding performance, the Hayesville Yellow Jackets shut out the Robbinsville Black Knights 11-0 in Game 1 of a Smoky Mountain Conference doubleheader on Friday, April 25. The Yellow Jackets showcased their prowess both on the mound and at the plate, securing a decisive victory.


Pitcher Jackson Sellers was nearly untouchable, allowing just one hit and two walks while striking out eight over the course of the game. His stellar performance kept Robbinsville’s bats silent, ensuring no runs crossed the plate. Sellers’ dominance set the tone for Hayesville’s wire-to-wire control.


Offensively, the Yellow Jackets wasted no time asserting themselves. Sellers contributed significantly with the bat, going 2-for-3 with two RBIs.
