After a tough loss last Wednesday, the Hayesville Yellow Jackets bounced back in a big way on Monday, Sept. 16, delivering an impressive 8-0 shutout victory over the Tri-County Jaguars. The team’s defense stepped up significantly, refusing to let the memory of their previous defeat affect their performance.

Leading the charge for Hayesville was Colin Walker, who was a standout on the field, netting a hat trick with three goals. His offensive prowess, combined with a strong defensive effort, was instrumental in securing the Yellow Jackets' first win of the season.

The victory brings Hayesville’s record to 1-2, while the Jaguars’ loss drops them to 1-4-1.

Both teams will now hit the road for their next matchups. Hayesville is set to take on Swain County on Wednesday at 6:00 p.m., while Tri-County will travel to face Blue Ridge Early College at 4:00 p.m. on the same day.
